Best Hollywood Studios Quick Service Restaurants
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
If you’re a Star Wars fan, a quick meal at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo should be on your list of things to do in Hollywood Studios. While experiencing the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run and riding the soon-to-be-opened Rise of the Resistance ride are probably at the top of your list, the otherworldly food options at Docking Bay 7 should make it onto this Star Wars: Galaxy Edge bucket list as well. It also makes our list of the best overall places to eat at Disney World!
The most out-of-this-world Hollywood Studios quick service option is easily Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Located in a working hangar, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo gets creative with its food options. (After all, they are from another galaxy, right?) If you’re feeling adventurous, try the mustafarian lava roll, the braised shaak roast, or the otherworldly batuu-bon. Somehow, even with all of these crazy yet tasty concoctions, this Hollywood Studios dining option still manages to offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
If you are on the Quick Service Disney Dining Plan, this is an amazing place where you can get good bang for your buck!
ABC Commissary
Want to get a small glimpse of what life is like working for a major television company? Head to ABC Commissary for one of your meals at Hollywood Studios. Modeled after a real, functioning ABC Studios cafeteria, this television poster-filled eatery lets you in on just a little bit of the magic behind the silver screen.
In addition to traditional theme park fare like juicy burgers and tasty chicken strips, ABC Commissary offers quite a few dishes that venture outside the realm of regular theme park food. Get a little messy with a BBQ rib platter, enjoy the deep flavor of a slow-cooked pot roast, or get the best of both worlds with the land and sea platter. ABC Commissary also offers fantastic vegetarian and vegan options, such as the plant-based California Burger and the Mediterranean Salad, which are both part of Disney’s recent roll-out of plant-based options in the Orlando parks.
Catalina Eddie’s
If you’re looking for a fantastic yet budget-friendly Hollywood Studios counter service option, Catalina Eddie’s may be the perfect choice for you! With no singular item priced above $10.99, you’ll be able to fill your belly without having to worry about the balance of your bank account. Order the personal pizzas, the Caesar salad with chicken, or even the lemon cheesecake verrine just before you rush in to catch a showing of the Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage show right across the bustling Sunset Boulevard.
Woody’s Lunch Box
One of the most popular parts of the park – due to both its rides and its food options – is Toy Story Land. Situated not far from Hollywood Studios’ favorites like Toy Story Mania and Slinky Dog Dash, Woody’s Lunch Box has secured a prime location in the park. As one of the best quick service restaurants at Hollywood Studios, Woody’s Lunch Box makes a child’s dream meal come to life.
Serving up kid-favorites such as s’mores French toast sandwiches and “totchos” – a magical combination of tater tots and nachos – every child will be sure to devour whichever item appears in front of him or her. Plus, if you or your little ones happen to be vegetarian, this eatery has a few vegetarian options as well.
This is a great place to eat when you are on the Disney Dining Plan and looking for ways to maximize your Dining Plan Credits!
During a hot summer’s day in Orlando, one of the most in-demand items at Woody’s Lunch Box is the old-fashioned root beer float. Just imagine using this delicious dessert drink filled with vanilla soft serve and Barq’s root beer as a way to cool off from the warm Florida sun. Honestly, can you think of any better way to cool off?
While the one shortcoming of Woody’s Lunch Box is the lack of shade, there is a rumor that Disney is working on fixing that problem!
PizzeRizzo
Everyone loves pizza. It’s basically a universal statement. Pizza is amazing. PizzeRizzo is one of the newest Hollywood Studios quick service restaurants, and it is pizza heaven! Not far from another one of the best Italian restaurants in Hollywood Studios, Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano, PizzeRizzo serves up a variety of pizza options, including meat lover’s pizza, vegetarian pizza, and the classic, no-nonsense cheese pizza. Somehow, between artfully tossing rounds of pizza dough up in the air, the chefs at this Hollywood Studios eatery also serve up a couple of dessert options, including A Galaxy Far, Far Away Espresso Mousse Dome and cannoli.
On top of all of that, PizzeRizzo is one of the most accommodating Hollywood studios counter service options. There are options for guests with gluten, egg, shellfish, milk, nut, or soy allergies.
Fairfax Fare
Feeling like eating some Mexican food but don’t feel like leaving the park? Featuring Tex Mex-style foods, Fairfax Fare dishes out a cuisine that none of the other Hollywood Studios quick service restaurants offer. Within screaming distance of the Tower of Terror, you can dine on the fajita combo platter, mojo pulled pork sandwich, or 7-layer rice bowl with grilled chicken, which have all proven to be crowd favorites. As for vegan and vegetarian options, there is the 7-layer rice bowl with vegan chili as well as the delicious veggie salad. Just be sure to enjoy these delicious quick service dishes after your Tower of Terror ride!
If you want to finish off your delicious Mexican-inspired meal with something sweet, the tres leches verrine is quite a treat! Topped with whipped cream, fresh strawberries, and strawberry candy rocks, this tres leches verrine is the perfect combination of colors, flavors, and textures. Basically, it’s the perfect end to a meal from Fairfax Fare.
Epic Eats
There are so many classic theme park foods: giant turkey legs, cinnamon-topped churros, soft pretzels. But there is one that stands out from the rest: the fried, sweet goodness of a warm funnel cake.
If you happen to be looking for funnel cakes galore, Epic Eats is the place for you to take a break for a bite to eat. Parked just outside of Epic Stunt Spectacular, Epic Eats tops off its famous funnel cakes with everything from strawberry syrup to powdered sugar to vanilla soft-serve. If you’re looking for something a little bit cooler, this rustic-looking dining option also serves up soft-serve in waffle cones and root beer floats!
Hollywood Scoops
Hollywood Scoops has found its place on the bustling Sunset Boulevard. This little storefront provides some of the best quick service at Hollywood Studios if you’re looking for a sweet, cool treat, because every single item on the menu comes with a frozen scoop of ice cream! The apple crisp à la mode and brownie sundae are sure to put a smile on your face. After all, who doesn’t have a sweet tooth? If you happen to be vegan, don’t fret! There are also vegan options just for you!
The only con of Hollywood Scoops is that the seating is quite limited, as it is shared with Fairfax Fare.
Ronto Roasters
If you’re looking for a Star Wars-themed Hollywood Studios quick service option but don’t want to deal with the busyness of Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, head over to Ronto Roasters! Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there are so many tasty dishes for you to try! Taste test their Ronto morning wraps or Nuna turkey jerkey (sweet or spicy). There are also vegan and vegetarian options available at this Hollywood Studios counter service restaurant.
As a quick note, because Ronto Roasters is located in the very popular Star Wars: Galaxy Edge, the prices are a little more expensive than they are in other parts of the park.
Rosie’s All American Cafe
Sunset Boulevard is home to so many of the best quick service options at Hollywood Studios, and Rosie’s All American Cafe is no exception. Decked out in patriotic red, white, and blue, the best option for traditional theme park fair at Hollywood Studios is, hands down, Rosie’s All American Cafe. For meat eaters, there’s the option to chow down on a chili cheese foot-long hot dog or a fresh angus cheeseburger. On the other hand, for Disney’s plant-based visitors, they’ve got a delicious dish for you as well: a fried green tomato sandwich.
Backlot Express Restaurant
Tucked away between Star Wars – The Adventures Continue and Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, the Backlot Express Restaurant is a hidden gem of Hollywood Studios quick service dining. Enjoy the Backlot Burger, the Southwest Salad, the Cuban Sandwich, or the Chicken Garlic-Ranch Club. The desserts, such as the key lime verrine, the graveyard verrine, and the peanut butter brownie, are all divine as well. The establishment even serves up a couple of specialty beverages, including the BB-8 souvenir stein and the blue raspberry slushy.
Basically, the Backlot Express Restaurant is a great place to escape the heat, avoid the crowds, and dig into some good food. What more could you ask for?
Worst Hollywood Studios Quick Service Restaurants
Dockside Diner
While at its most simple definition Walt Disney World Resort is a theme park, it is the most extraordinary, fun-filled theme park in the world. So it would only make sense for its food options to be just as extraordinary. However, Dockside Diner sadly does not live up to this high expectation. Dishing out subpar theme park food like $13 chili cheese dogs and $11 nachos, this Hollywood Studios quick service restaurant is simply not worth your time or your money. Fortunately, there are many others quick service restaurants at Hollywood Studios that are (as listed above).
The Trolley Car Café
When you go to Disney World, you want every part of your trip to be something special. The rides, the shows, the character meet-and-greets, the food – you expect them to be something amazing (and rightly so)! So the Trolley Car Café is a bit of a letdown to say the least. With essentially the same menu as a Starbucks that can be found on every block in the United States, the Trolley Car Café isn’t serving up anything special. And don’t expect the expensive $6-per-drink price tag to disappear just because this location happens to be in the happiest place on earth.
That said, if you happen to be in desperate need of a caffeine boost during your time in the park, you know where to get it.
The Market
Not far from Fairfax Fare is the Market. This Hollywood Studios quick service option is more of a snack cart than an actual place to grab a meal. So if you’re looking for pretzels and churros, the Market isn’t a terrible option. However, if you’re hoping to get a dish to fill your tummy for a few hours, refer to one of the other recommendations on this list.
KRNR The Rock Station
Nothing really sets KRNR The Rock Station apart from the other Hollywood Studios counter service restaurants. Its food options are quite limited, as they only serve two variations of macaroni and cheese, and its drink options aren’t that much more varied. If you’re looking for traditional theme park food, you’d be better off eating at Rosie’s All American Cafe instead.
I hope you enjoyed reading about some of the best Hollywood Studios quick service restaurants (and learning about the ones you should avoid too). What do you think? Do you agree or disagree? Let me know in the comments what you think the best quick service at Hollywood Studios is! As always, if you have any questions, I am more than happy to answer them for you! Thank you for reading!
I ate at ABC Commissary and Pizze Rizzo on my recent trip and I liked them both! I really wanted to try Woody’s Lunchbox, but it was pouring outside so we had to duck into an indoor restaurant for dinner!
Oh no!!!! There is always next time! Woody’s is nice but of course not when it is raining!
