There are so many things to do at Epcot for adults! Epcot has a reputation for being the “adult park” and, honestly, there’s a good reason for that. Epcot has some of the best food, drinks, and attractions adults will enjoy.
Adults love Epcot because you can drink around the world, try food from all over the world as well, and you can even immerse yourself in your favorite rides. Plus, adults will really appreciate the educational aspect that Epcot offers as well.
We have our favorite things at Epcot for adults here! Keep reading to try our favorite drinks, restaurants, rides, and top suggestions for the perfect Epcot day!
Best Epcot Rides for Adults
Even though there aren’t a lot of “kid rides” at Epcot like there are at Magic Kingdom, Epcot definitely has some rides that are much more suited for adults and thrill seekers. A few of our favorite Epcot rides for adults are:
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
Adults will LOVE GOTG: Cosmic Rewind because it’s fast, loud, and not just launches, but spins and goes backwards! This is a FUN thrill ride, and immerses you into the world of Guardians. You won’t want to miss seeing your favorite Guardians characters, and becoming part of the story.
Because this ride is thrilling, it will definitely be better suited for adults (or those that can handle it), and adults will also love this ride because of the songs they play! You will get one of five classic songs – and they will definitely resonate more with adults (“Everybody Wants to Rule the World” is a cult favorite!).
Mission Space Orange
Mission Space is a thrilling ride that lets you know what it feels like to take off into space, and there are two options: green and orange. Orange is definitely the adult version! This is the more intense version, with a 44″ height requirement.
In order to ride this, you can’t be prone to motion sickness, must be in good health, and able to withstand intense spinning and G-forces. This ride is no joke, and is definitely for the bravest of thrill seekers – so it’s a great Epcot attraction for adults.
Test Track
This is one of the most fun rides at Epcot, and is absolutely on of the best Epcot rides for adults! Test Track lets you design a car, ride around obstacles testing how good your car is, and ends with hitting 60 mph!
Test Track is family friendly, but we think adults will like being able to see how their car handles all the tests, as well as it’s always fun to look at the display cars at the end. Car shopping anyone?
Living with the Land
While the more thrilling rides may be obvious choices when it comes to Epcot for adults, we all know that Living with the Land is the REAL adult ride here. I can’t go to Epcot without taking a ride through the greenhouse, relaxing, and learning about the way that humans can better live with the land around them.
Adults will be able to appreciate the message, the information, and the relaxation aspect of this slow-moving boat ride. It’s the perfect place to take a break, and take in the beauty of the plants around you. Plus, you can then go out into Epcot and enjoy some of the foods that are grown here!
Pro tip: if you go during any of the Epcot festivals, Living with the Land enhances the greenhouse to reflect the them of the festival and the food they serve at it! So don’t miss riding if you’ve been out enjoying the festivals.
Drinking Around the World for Adults
Drinking around the world is very popular when it comes to finding things to do for adults at Epcot. There is huge selection of alcoholic beverages at Epcot, as well as this park definitely takes on adult vibe after 5, and especially on the weekends.
You can travel from country to country and try something unique in each one, and even make this a fun group activity! Grab a bite to eat and a drink, and really enjoy!
These are our favorites and the best drinks for adults at Epcot:
- Orange Grand Marnier Slush in France
- Grapefruit Beer in Germany
- Violet Sake in Japan
- Peach Bellini in Italy
- Blackberry Sake Mist in Japan
Best Restaurants at Epcot for Adults
If you’re looking for some of the best Epcot dining for adults, we’ve got you covered! These restaurants are a little higher end, more adventurous, and much nicer than your normal Disney table service restaurants. Some of these menus may not be very child-friendly, and one of these restaurants actually isn’t child-friendly at all…
Coral Reef
Coral Reef is located near the front of the park, and actually shares a wall with the aquarium from the Seas. This is on our list because not everyone is seafood friendly, and adults tend to enjoy it more than kids.
The menu here is also a little bit adventurous, with mushroom gyoza, harissa chicken, and lots of seafood choices like salmon and mahi mahi. Coral Reef doesn’t really have an extensive menu either, so take a look before booking your reservation here. But, if you love seafood, this a must do for dinner, and you will love being able to watch the sea life in the aquarium.
Monsieur Paul
When it comes to the best restaurants at Epcot for adults, this had to be included. Monsieur Paul is the perfect restaurant for special occasions and celebrations. It’s a fancy, gourmet restaurant located in the France pavilion. Dinner here is a prix-fixe menu, and costs $195 per person.
Not only does this restaurant have a dress code, but it has an age limit. No one under 10 can dine here, and in Disney, that means “children.” Over 10 counts as an adult at Disney. But, even if your kids are old enough, the price point and the gourmet menu may not be great for anyone who isn’t an adult.
Shiki Sai: Sushi Izakaya
The newest addition to the Japan pavilion has the most extensive sushi menu found at Disney! This is one of the best places at Epcot for adults because the menu is so adventurous and is perfect for a chill adult dinner. They serve sushi, sashimi, and rolls of all kinds.
If you plan a dinner here with a few sushi-loving friends, get the boat of sushi that is $300! It’s a great way to experience a little bit of everything, and where else on Disney can you get a boat of sushi?
The menu here may not be the best for picky eaters, and there are very few “kid” options.
Le Cellier
If you’re looking for somewhere else for a great date night, Le Cellier is on our list for that. It’s some of the best Epcot dining for adults, and you will love the cozy, dark Canadian wine cellar atmosphere. The menu is one of the pricier options at Epcot as well, and even has an expensive list of “entitlements” you can add onto any meal.
The menu is also quite adventurous for a Disney steakhouse. You can get beef tartare, fried cauliflower, and even bison here!
Space 220
I’m not saying that kids and teens won’t love the atmosphere of Space 220, but I feel like the culinary experience here is much more adult. Both lunch and dinner are prix-fixe, which can be a lot of food and a little more pricey, so can be more geared towards adults.
The food here is also very adventurous, and space themed! There’s duck confit, beef carpaccio, and tuna tartare on the menu, and lots of fancy adult beverages – we’re sorry, atmospheric spirits.
Pro tip: grab a spot at the lounge here! Get the same drinks and delicious futuristic food for a quick lunch!
Rose and Crown
Hands down, grabbing a meal at the Rose and Crown had to be on our list of what to do for adults at Epcot. This has the best pub atmosphere, drinks, and pub fare. You will feel like you’re in a traditional British pub, and it feels like a little escape for adults in the park.
Not only is this a great place to grab a pint, but the food here is amazing! It has some of the best vegan/vegetarian food in the parks, and very cozy meals. Plus, you can’t be the fireworks views here. Plan accordingly, and you can watch the nighttime show while you dine on fish and chips while drinking a snakebite.
Adult Recommended Shows for Adults
If you’re creating your Epcot touring plan for adults, don’t ignore the shows at this park. I have seen every show at Epcot multiple times, and they are the perfect midday break. The message of these shows might also get lost on little ones, and adults can really enjoy the beauty and grandeur that these shows offer.
Impressions de France
Located in the back of the France pavilion, this 18 minute film shows the beauty, nature, and grandeur of the country of France. The sweeping views, the great narration and music, and the overall magic of the film will entrance you. Skip the “Beauty and the Beast” sing-a-long and see this. It’s my favorite way to relax at Epcot.
Awesome Planet
Over in the Land pavilion, Awesome Planet is a 10 minute film that shows how gorgeous our planet Earth truly is. You’ll see landscapes from all over the world, and imagery of our diverse and spectacular planet. Adults will appreciate the beauty of this film, and will understand the message of it.
Canada Far and Wide
If you’re looking for one of the best Epcot activities for adults, go see Canada Far and Wide over in the Canada pavilion. This 12 minute film is narrated by the hilarious Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy, and they take you on a tour of the extensive country of Canada.
The epic views on this 360° CircleVision screen let you really take in the beauty of the different landscapes. I always watch this when I visit the Canada pavilion.
Reflections of China
Over in the China pavilion, you can watch this 12 minute film that’s also shown in CircleVision 360°. You’ll learn about both ancient and modern China, and see the beauty of the land and people. This is absolutely worth adding to your Epcot itinerary for adults – you’re supposed to learn a little something when you visit Epcot, and this film will teach you a lot about the architecture, cities, and people of China.
Best Adult Friendly Snacks & Quick Service at Epcot
Table Service restaurants aren’t the only thing adults will love about Epcot. There are great snacks and Quick Service options as well! Adults will love the variety offered, and the diversity of the food and snacks as well. Make sure to check out our favorites and add them to your list of Epcot in a day for adults.
Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie
I know I’m not the only one who needs to start their Epcot day at Les Halles, right? They have the best French pastries and sandwiches, and I eat here at least once a trip. The sandwiches are delicious, the pastries melt in your mouth, and you can even get a mimosa here!
Do not sleep on Les Halles, and grab a breakfast or lunch here! It’s one of my favorite places to eat at Epcot, and honestly some of the best Epcot dining for adults.
Katsura Grill
Located in the Japan pavilion, this Quick Service restaurant is fairly adventurous for grab and go park food. There’s sushi, curry, udon, and even miso wings! There are also great vegetarian options here and fun desserts – don’t skip the yuzu cheesecake!
Even better than the food here is the quiet little corner it’s tucked into – it’s virtually hidden in small garden and is a quiet place to escape during the day.
Joy of Tea
This is the place to get a refreshing drink in the China pavilion! Don’t just pass by this nondescript kiosk – stop and grab a drink to cool off! You can get bubble milk tea, iced tea, and even specialty cocktails! The Tipsy Ducks in Love is super popular here. I personally love to get an iced tea with boba, or the seasonal tea drinks they sometimes have!
Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue
Regal Eagle is a great place for a messy, adult, barbecue meal. You can get ribs, brisket, smoked pork butt, and even a jackfruit sandwich here! Plus, there’s a great craft beer selection. Where else at Epcot can you get messy eating barbecue, trying 4 different types of sauces, and grab a cold beer? Regal Eagle is definitely one of the best places to grab a bite to eat at Epcot for adults.
Beyond Epcot: Boardwalk and the Skyliner
Your day doesn’t have to end once Epcot closes! There’s so much to do for adults just beyond Epcot at the Boardwalk. You can head to the dueling piano bar, Jellyrolls, or the Atlantic Dance Hall. Both of these are for ages 21 and up, and are great places to unwind and enjoy some good music.
One of the reasons Epcot is a great park for adults has to be the proximity to the Boardwalk! You can ride the boat, or even walk over, and go dancing, eat pizza, or visit a magic themed bar. There’s lots to do of adults at the Boardwalk, especially once the sun goes down.
Another reason to love Epcot is the ability to just hop on the Skyliner. Take a ride over to the Riviera Resort, go relax in the Mediterranean beauty and vibes, and grab a drink at Bar Riva (and yeah, get the Sticky Chicken Wings too!).
While there, dine at Topolino’s. Their dinner menu is amazing, and is a great place for date night. Plus, you’ll love the view from the top!
There’s so much to do at Epcot for adults, and we hope that you’ll use our list of favorites and plan the perfect day! I think Epcot is the perfect park for an adult day, and that if you do some of our favorite things, you can have an “adult day” at Epcot too!
