Getting Between Charles de Gaulle Airport and Disneyland Paris

Since there are so many ways to get from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris, we are going to break down the costs, time, and some of the pros and cons for each. This way, you’ll be able to choose the best way to get from the Paris airport to Disneyland Paris.

Taking RER to Disneyland Paris from Charles de Gaulle

The RER is the Réseau Express Régional – the regional train network for Paris, France. The RER is one of the ways to get from the Paris airport to Disneyland by train. This is one of the lengthier forms of transport to the park, as it will take about 70 minutes.

At Charles de Gaulle, you will get on RER B, and then transfer to RER A – which is the closest train station to Disneyland Paris. When you get off at Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy/Parcs Disneyland, the station is only a 2-minute walk to the front gates of Disneyland Paris.

This is a relatively easy form of transport for most to use and is great for adult travelers, solo travelers, and those without major mobility issues or a lot of children. The trains also come frequently throughout the day and put you close to the parks, but you will have to transfer and be on the trains for quite a while.

Taking the TGV train to Disneyland

The TGV, or the Train à Grande Vitesse, is the high-speed train system that operates in France. This is the other way to get from the Paris airport to Disneyland by train and is absolutely the fastest. Not only do you get from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris in 12 minutes, but the station is also about a 2-minute walk from the gates of Disneyland Paris.

I feel like this is not just the fastest way, but is also one of the cheapest. The tickets are around $21 or 20€.

There are a few downsides to the TGV though. The tickets can sell out, and it’s about 30 minutes between trains. It also has a limited schedule, so depending on when you arrive at Charles de Gaulle, it might not be the most efficient.

But, if you’re staying at one of the Disneyland Paris hotels, you can have your hotel check-in documents and park tickets delivered here, and have your bags taken from the station to your hotel while using the Disney Express service. This is great if you choose to ride the TGV and are staying in one of these hotels.

Taking the Bus from Charles de Gaulle to Disneyland

While there isn’t a direct bus from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris, there is an airport bus option. You can board the free CDGVAL shuttle at the airport and take it to Roissypóle. You will then take the Bus Line Seine at Marne Express and travel to Torcy, which is about 60 minutes away.

The Ultimate Disneyland Paris Itinerary (Without Lines!)

Once at Torcy, you will get on the RER and get off at the same station we mentioned earlier, and you will only be on the train for about 10 minutes.

Even though the bus ride is CHEAP (we’re talking a few Euros), it might not be worth it. Space is super limited, there are a lot of transfers, and you still end up having to pay for the RER and get on there. It probably isn’t your best choice for transport from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris.

Disneyland Paris Magical Shuttle Airport Transfer

The Magical Shuttle may seem familiar to Disney guests who have used shuttle transportation at Orlando International Airport to get to Walt Disney World. The Magical Shuttle takes guests who are staying at Disneyland Paris hotels, partner hotels, and Villages Nature Paris by Center Paris from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Disneyland Paris.

This does take about 60 minutes from the airport to your hotel, depending on traffic and drop-off. They will also take you back to the airport for your departure. But, they do have a lot of shuttle departure times throughout the day, which is convenient for variable flight times.

This is very affordable, with adults costing 24€ or $25.70, and children 3-12 costing 11€ or $11.78 per trip. Just make sure you set this up in advance so that all you have to do is get on the shuttle once you arrive.

This is a fairly convenient and safe way when it comes to Paris airport to Disneyland transportation. It can be a great choice for families, couples, and those who don’t speak a lot of French. It’s obviously a great choice for those staying on Disney property, but you just have to allow for at least an hour to get there.

Taking a Taxi or Uber to Disneyland Paris from Charles de Gaulle

Taking a taxi or Uber may be one of the more expensive options for getting from Charles de Gaulle to Disneyland Paris. It can cost on average from $80-$90 but can go up to over $100 at night. Some companies will also add additional costs per person for larger groups.

The ride will take about an hour, depending on traffic, making it one of the longer trips as well.

If you have a lot of people, mobility issues, or a lot of luggage, taking a taxi or an Uber might not be the easiest or most cost-effective either.

Renting a Car at Charles de Gaulle Airport

Getting a rental car in order to get from Charles de Gaulle to Disneyland Paris is a great choice for those traveling with children – especially small ones – and those with lots of luggage.

If you’re planning on seeing more of Paris – like I tend to do when I’m there – it makes more sense to rent a car. I find it easier to get between an Airbnb, Disneyland Paris, the airport, and other sites by having a rental car.

It’s only a 45-minute drive from Charles de Gaulle to Disneyland Paris, and there are lots of rental options to choose from at the airport.

It can be as cheap as 30€ per day, and this is a very safe way to travel in Paris. But make sure you make your rental reservation in advance so all you have to do is pick up your car.

Bonus: If you’re staying at one of the Disneyland Paris hotels, you get free parking at your hotel and also at Disneyland Paris!

Booking a Private Airport Transfer from Charles de Gaulle

Booking a private transfer can definitely ease your mind and make your trip from Charles de Gaulle to Disneyland Paris a lot easier. Book your transfer in advance, and once you arrive, your driver is waiting for you and all you have to do is sit back and relax.

This is the safest way to travel, and you avoid public transport and lots of transfers to get to Disneyland Paris. This also cuts out any waiting time you may have when using public transportation as well.

Another bonus to the private transfers is that they typically have English-speaking drivers. This will help out English-speaking travelers who don’t speak a lot of French and may need a little guidance.

Price-wise the private transfers are only a little bit pricier than a taxi and can definitely be worth the money if you’re looking for peace of mind and an easy form of transport. You’ll be able to start your Disneyland Paris day not long after your arrival in Paris!
