Yes, the Walt Disney World prices have increased again. Terrence and I always discuss “when is enough enough” and these companies will stop raising the prices. Clearly, that time is not now.

It isn’t like the price of Disney tickets just rose $2 here and $5 there. They have increased $20-$76 per ticket option!

Now, we all know why Disney continues to do this. Because people continue to pay and have always continued to pay. The parks are busier than ever. They need a new way to fund new lands and rides, although I think they still make/have enough money from all their business entities to do that and not up the prices.

If this price increase means you cannot renew your already expensive pass or buy and already expensive ticket, I am truly sorry!

Disney Annual Pass Price Increases:

I am hearing that a lot of non-Florida resident annual pass holders are finding it harder and harder to justify the pass because they will have to make more and more trips that just aren’t feasible.

 Annual Pass Type Old New
Disney Platinum Plus Pass $1219 $1295
Disney Platinum Pass $1119 $1195
Disney Platinum Plus FL Residents (no change) $999 $999
Disney Platinum FL Residents (no change) $899 $899
Disney Gold Pass (FL Residents/DVC) $699 $719
Disney Silver Pass (FL Residents) $519 $539
Disney Theme Park Select Pass (FL Residents) $439 $439
Disney Weekday Select Pass (FL Residents) $349 $369
EPCOT After 4 Pass (FL Residents) $304 $319

Disney Ticket Increases:

Here are the Disney pricing increases for ticket options. Disney has also added a new category called “Water Park and Sports” which you couldn’t get before. Here are the changes to the base ticket pricing.

Ticket Type Old New
1-Day Park Hopper $60 $65
2-3 Day Park Hopper Tickets $70 $75
4-10 Day Park Hopper Tickets $80 $85
1-Day Park Hopper Plus Tickets $80 $85
2-3 Day Park Hopper Plus Tickets $90 $95
4-10 Day Park Hopper Plus Tickets $100 $105
New Waterpark and Sports Option N/A $70

How are you feeling about the new ticket increases and the price hike for annual passes? Do you think it is worth it for all the new expansions? Personally, Disney has taken away a lot of classic rides that I loved so I wouldn’t be too upset with cheaper prices and fewer expansions while we get to keep the classics. But it isn’t my business!
