You may have never thought about it before your trip, but as it turns out, there are things to buy from Amazon for Universal Studios! Most people overlook Amazon when preparing for a park visit. But when your soon-approaching vacation is arriving quickly, it is best to order from Amazon!
Not only do your items arrive quickly, but the items on this list can be used anywhere! think of them as amazing travel items. But, at the end of the day, these are Universal Studios must-haves. Make your visit easier and order these things today!
1. Rain Coat
Anyone who visits Florida regularly, or who lives in Florida, knows how important it is to pack a rain poncho or coat. Of course, Amazon has thousands of ponchos available. I personally love packing the ones that have buttons or zip-ups, as they act more like a jacket. This way you can wear these ponchos on rides!
Universal also sells ponchos on-site if you need them. And while many of them are themed, you’ll pay a pretty penny for them. So purchase a rain coat beforehand! Pack it up. And if you really want a themed poncho, know those are available too!
2. More Memory Cards for Your Camera
If you opt out of a My Universal Photo Package, which we recommend doing due to its steep prices, don’t be afraid to pack extra memory cards. This is especially true if you tend to bring in professional cameras, or if you just need more space to store your photos.
Don’t miss a minute of your vacation! And know that most memory cards come in a variety of sizes and storage amounts. Cross-reference your devices to know what you need! Be prepared, and smile big! This is one of those Amazon Universal Studios essentials.
3. Portable Phone Charger
There is nothing worse than a dying battery when you’re in the middle of the parks. Whether you’re using Universal apps to check wait times, show updates, or order food, don’t get caught with a dead phone! You’ll need it! Trust me! Thus, you have to purchase a portable phone charger.
This way you can always reference park maps, take more photos, and even scroll Instagram or play heads-up while waiting for Hagrid. This is one of those things to buy for Universal Studios from Amazon that is worth every penny.
4. Filtered Water Bottle
People who come from different states or countries may notice the different taste in the water in Florida. This, and for general safety, is why I recommend bringing a filtered water bottle. When you use this, you ensure your water is clean! Plus, let’s be real, those water cups are skimpy at the parks!
And when you bring in your own water bottle, you don’t spend more on Dasani in the park. If you visit during peak summer seasons as well, you know how long you’ll be waiting in line for fresh water. Having your own ready to go is a great first step. And you can always refill at any Coca-Cola Freestyle fill-up!
5. Waterproof Stroller Cover
If you’re traveling with your family and kids, I highly recommend investing in a waterproof stroller cover. We all know the rain in Florida an be unpredictable, so protect your little ones when those storms open up! It will help prevent a ruined, wet day.
Plus, you can also use a stroller and the cover to protect your belongings! This way everything stays safe and dry. And after the storm clears, you can continue on your way: no ruined plans! This is one of those things to buy from amazon for Universal Studios worth investing in. Check out more info about either Disney or Universal in the rain to fully prepare!
5. Mini First Aid Kit
I walk, on average, 6 miles a day when I visit the Universal Parks. And you know what I always forget? Band-aids for my blisters. So, I am addressing this for you! This way you don’t have to suffer! Pack a mini-first aid kit. Though I hope you don’t ever have to use it, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
The smaller shell cases are easy to fit in bags or purses. They are great for travel! And they have more than bandaids: helpful items also include safety pins and wipes. I personally always get a travel container of Advil and throw that in there too– some rides just get me good and I need help recovering!
6. Autograph Books/Interactive Journals
Normally I wouldn’t put this on an essential packing list for Universal. BUT! Ever since the opening of Dreamworks Land, and if you have kids, it has become a popular item to bring to the parks. Dreamworks is immersive and fun! And you’ll want to meet your favorite characters.
Get the autographs of Shrek, Poppy, or even Po from Kung Fu Panda. Document photos and memories by meeting the cutest characters and immersing yourself in an interactive land! Plus, who’s not to say you won’t want an autograph of a dinosaur trainer, or a mummy stilt walker?! I personally also love this Jurassic Park Travel Journal: it is interactive and fun, and themed!
7. Misting Fans
Beat the heat while walking, or while waiting! During your trip to Universal Studios, do not miss one of the top things to buy from Amazon for Universal Studios: misting fans. The sun is scalding. It can be hard to escape the humidity! So, cool down with fans!
Whether you use just the fan, just the water, or the fan and the water, you’ll definitely help keep your body temperature down. There are a ton of these available on the internet. And there are some available in the park as well. But order this one and save some money!
8. Good Quality Pair of Shoes
Slip on, lightweight shoes. This is the way to go at any park. This way, if you want to go on a water ride, you can quickly slip your shoe off and protect it. You also don’t have to worry about ties. And lightweight makes walking so much easier!
The more comfortable you are, the easier the parks are. Quality shoes are essential at Universal Studios. And while this is not one of those unique things to pack for Universal Studios, it is truly needed. Save yourself blisters!! Buy good walking shoes today!
9. Comfy Fanny Pack
Initially, I wanted to put a backpack on this list, but honestly, a backpack is better for Disney, not Universal. Size matters at Universal. Most rides offer free lockers with your ticket, but these lockers are small. You want to be able to fit everything in it and not pay for a bigger locker.
Thus, fanny packs are your best bet. Not only does this keep your items on your waist or across your chest, but it’s easy to store. It’ll help you stay organized and is so much easier than keeping everything in your pockets. Some rides will even let you on with a fanny!
10. Hats
Gear up before you go! Hats in the park are cute, but they can be an investment if you’re buying one for everyone in the family. Hats are a great way to practice safety in the sun. And trust me, there will be sun.
Amazon has a ton of Universal-themed hats as well, which makes sure you’re on point with all the trends! Pick your favorite franchise: Super Mario, Hogwarts, Jurassic Park, Marvel, and the list goes on and on! Some hats on Amazon aren’t in the parks either… which means you’ll stand out!
11. Lanyards
Most Universal Studios tickets, annual passes included, should have easy access. Whether you’re using a pass for a discount on merchandise, or park-hopping, digging through wallets, or trying to pull up screenshots online are a pain and waste of time. Don’t be afraid to invest in lanyards for them!
While the park sells them, they are, once again, expensive. Order a few online before you go! You can even theme them! Most of the time you can also just tuck the lanyard in your shirt for rides… or just put them in your fanny pack and pull them out with ease!
12. Waterproof Phone Pouch
Whether you’re on water rides or avoiding rain, protect those electronic devices! This is especially applicable if you’re spending some time at Volcano Bay and you want active photos of your day in the water and on the rides!
Waterproof phone pouches allow you to keep your phone on you, and allow you to keep it safe. You can leave it around your neck all day, and simply store your phone in it, or you can load up your electronic devices and protect them before hopping on Popeyes!
13. Carabiner Clips
Probably not your first thought about what to bring to a theme park! But, carabiner clips are a MUST have. Especially if you’ve invested in refillable popcorn buckets, refillable mugs, and more. This way you can carry around things with ease.
This also helps you avoid purchasing the carriers for these items– which is just a way to make some extra money. Hook a clip to your fanny back and let the refillable bucket hang. And don’t risk its pulling in a park bag this way either!
14. Body Glide
The heat. It sucks. The chafing. It sucks more! So, invest in anti-chafe balm before it’s too late! This is one of those things to buy from Amazon for Universal Studios that is a must because you will need it. Whether you use it on your heels or your thighs, you’ll thank me.
This is also not sold in the park, nor can it be found with ease. Getting it early will ensure that your arms, chest, and even butt are comfortable in Florida! I personally love the Body Glide brand!
15. Motion Sickness Patches
Universal Studios has rides that can leave friends queasy! Especially if you are sensitive to virtual reality rides! Examples include the Simpsons, Transformers, and Jimmy Fallon. If you know you’re going to want to ride these rides but you don’t want to suffer, get motion sickness patches beforehand.
This way you don’t have to get anything in the park either! Save money, pack as much as you need. Be the hero of your group when someone else needs it! And just make sure you don’t ruin your day and fun by feeling blah!
And there you have it, folks. Things to buy for Universal Studios from Amazon that will make your trip better! Let your vacation run smoothly and be prepared for all that the parks demand from you. You’ll thank us later. Now go, purchase, pack and have fun!
